A famous cherry blossom spot that blends into the ancient capital of Kyoto The ancient city of Kyoto still retains its old-fashioned townscape, and the cultural properties scattered throughout the city have been registered as World Heritage Sites. Many cherry trees are planted in temples, shrines, and towns in Kyoto, and cherry blossom petals are in full bloom here and there in harmony with the quaint townscape. Among them, I went out with a Japanese umbrella to Shinsho Gokuraku-ji Temple, which spreads out on a small mountain.
