After ordering, it was delivered to my house promptly, and the moment I opened the Japanese umbrella I was so impressed that I decided that on the first rainy day I would use it to write a letter to Tsujikura.
I was delighted by the little touches that were included when it arrived, such as the handwritten letter and toothpick doll. The Japanese umbrella gave me a special feeling that I don't have someone else holding it, and the sound of it hitting the rain is so soothing that I'm sure I'll be looking forward to rainy days for a long time to come.
I also thought about whether to include the name on the umbrella when it is folded, but once I did, it gave it a special feeling and I'm glad I did it.
I hope that Japanese umbrellas, each and every one of which is so moving, will continue to be made more widely known around the world, and at the same time, I hope that Japan will preserve these traditional umbrellas for future generations and spread them all over the world.
