A Special Experience in Kyoto

This month, we once again held our Hime Wagasa (mini Japanese umbrella) making workshop at Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo.

Our guests this time were all visiting from overseas, and we were delighted to see their strong interest in traditional Japanese umbrellas and the craftsmanship behind them.
Using authentic materials, participants create their own unique miniature wagasa by hand. It is a special opportunity to experience a piece of Japan’s traditional culture, carefully preserved in Kyoto for generations.
