Yuzen “Kyo Momiji”/Japanese Black Bamboo Parasol
Tsujikura's "Black Bamboo" Japanese parasol, made with all natural materials without using a single nail.
The handle grip is made of black bamboo, the hajiki which holds the umbrella open is made of wood, and bamboo nails are used to keep the rokuro, which connects the umbrella bones and the handle, in place.
Furthermore, stencil-dyed washi paper, which uses ombre gradation techniques in the dyeing processes to produce beautiful coloring, is used for the washi paper.

How to Use the Wagasa
When you walk carrying the closed umbrella, please grasp the head of the Wagasa, or for Janome please grasp the cord on the head, and for Bangasa please hold the leather strings bound around the head.
How to Open the Wagasa
The Wagasa may be difficult to open due to the waterproof grease on the Washi. Please lightly grasp the bottom of the runner at the bottom inside the umbrella, and slowly and carefully push to the top to open the Wagasa.
