Japanese Parasol "Hana-hiraku" (Blooming Flower) Plum Blossom/Pink
Enjoy the moment when a flower comes into full bloom with this traditional Japanese parasol.
The gorgeous Yuzen pattern on the inside, which greets your eyes the moment you open the parasol, is like a single flower gently unfolding. Infused with traditional Japanese craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities, this design elevates your walks on sunny days and makes your special moments even more memorable.
Handcrafted Kyo-Yuzen washi paper is used as the material, allowing it to soften incoming light. Furthermore, carefully selected natural materials are used for the handle and frame, achieving both lightness and ease of carrying. This masterpiece is perfect for daily use as well as for gifts.
A symbol of beauty to color your special days.
Spend a moment feeling the beauty of Japan with "Hana-hiraku".
The floral pattern inside the Japanese parasol also serves as a beautiful background for photographs.
Ideal for celebratory occasions or as a gift for someone special.
"En" (Connection)
Many artisans are involved in the creation of a single Japanese parasol: those who make the bamboo ribs, those who create the "rokuro" (the circular wooden piece that connects the ribs), and those who make the washi paper. Finally, a Tsujikura artisan assembles it into one parasol. A Japanese parasol is completed through the connections between people, and we aim to pass those connections on to our customers and to the next generation. We named Tsujikura's Japanese parasols "En" to embody the meaning of "continuing to connect." We strive daily in our parasol production, hoping that "En" will help expand our connections with people around the world.
【Hand-dyed Yuzen Washi Paper】
"Jizome" (base dyeing) is used to dye the entire sheet of washi paper, followed by "Irozashi" (color insertion), where patterns are dyed using stencils. Irozashi is repeated for as many colors as there are in the design. Finally, the paper is dried using heat plates and warm air, resulting in the brilliant hand-dyed Yuzen washi paper.
※Please note that this cannot be used in rainy weather.
