There are various traditional colors that gave birth to the spirit of beauty in the changing seasons of Japan.
From among these colors, we carefully selected Japanese colors that fit well with the Japanese umbrella and made them into handmade Japanese paper.
We are particular about natural raw materials and used black bamboo for the handle, which fits comfortably in the hand.
The inside of the umbrella is decorated with two layers of Japanese colored decorative threads that match the color of the umbrella.
All of them enhance the appearance of the Japanese umbrella.
The “tokusenkurotiku-07” is made by hand by Tsujikura’s Japanese umbrella craftsmen, who are particular about the raw materials they use.Please enjoy the traditional colors of Japanese umbrellas that color the four seasons in Japan.

This is a light reddish-red janome umbrella with the image of cherry blossom petals.

How to Use the Wagasa
When you walk carrying the closed umbrella, please grasp the head of the Wagasa, or for Janome please grasp the cord on the head, and for Bangasa please hold the leather strings bound around the head.

How to Open the Wagasa
The Wagasa may be difficult to open due to the waterproof grease on the Washi. Please lightly grasp the bottom of the runner at the bottom inside the umbrella, and slowly and carefully push to the top to open the Wagasa.
