The “Kyoto City Traditional Industries ‘Future Masters’ Exhibition” is currently being held at Miyakomesse.
The “Future Masters” program certifies outstanding mid-career artisans expected to lead Kyoto's traditional industries in the future.
Recently, Tsujikura artisans were also certified as “Future Masters” for the 2025 fiscal year.
Alongside other craft works, Tsujikura's “Traveling Umbrella” is also on display.
Amidst the diverse array of craft pieces, the beauty of the Japanese umbrella truly stood out.
Additionally, miniature Hime Japanese umbrellas are available for purchase at the venue.
Tsujikura will continue striving diligently, not only for the future of Japanese umbrellas but also as a force capable of carrying the future of Kyoto's traditional industries.
