Higasa (Japanese parasol)
Tsujikura craftsmen carefully tailor this durable and beautiful Japanese parasol from Kyoto's Kurotani Washi paper, which is handmade for the Japanese umbrella.
Kurotani's Unryu paper, handmade for Japanese umbrellas, is the strongest and most beautiful paper made by Tsujikura craftsmen.
"Evening Moon" This snake's-eye umbrella is designed to resemble the faintly floating moon seen in the evening. The inside of the umbrella is decorated with threads matching the color of the umbrella.
The moonlit pattern is made by hand, using the advanced techniques of skilled craftsmen, and each piece is made by hand with meticulous attention to detail.
It fascinates the heart of the wearer both from the outside and from the inside.
Bangasa (Sturdy umbrella)
Washi craftsmen and wagasa umbrella craftsmen work hard every day to preserve and pass on to future generations the traditions and culture that have been handed down from generation to generation since ancient times in Japan.
The combination of these two traditional crafts has resulted in a beautiful and genuine Kurodani Washi umbrella through a number of processes. We are pleased to offer you a superb product made by "Kyoto Kurotani Washi" and "Kyoto Wagasa shop Tsujikura".
