Matte janome pattern
As there are many ukiyoe paintings of beautiful women holding a japanese patterned umbrella, this design has been popular for a long time. Tsujikura’s japanese pattern has been created in a variety of colors in addition to the white ring japanese pattern.
The “Matte Janome” is made of natural materials, such as black bamboo for the handle bamboo and wood for the parts that hold the umbrella together.
The handle is made of black bamboo and the parts that hold the umbrella in place are made of wood.
The lacquer applied to the umbrella bone is matte black. The deep and calm texture of the lacquer, instead of the glossy lacquer of the past, enhances the chic look of the umbrella when it is opened.
Tsujikura has breathed new life into the traditional snake’s-eye pattern, which has been handed down from our predecessors, while preserving it.
